Definition

The Allowed CLC Amount is the amount of a Terraform Labs Crypto Loss Claim recognized through the bankruptcy claims process. It is a claim amount, not a promise that the estate will distribute that amount in cash.

CLC means Crypto Loss Claim. The Terraform claims procedures were created to evaluate qualifying losses connected with the Terra ecosystem using defined evidentiary standards. The claims portal opened in 2025, and the Plan Administrator later reported that approximately 16,640 CLCs had been submitted.

Where do I find my Allowed CLC Amount?

Start with the official Terraform claims portal and the determination communications sent through the official process. Use a saved bookmark or type the official address yourself. Phishing sites can imitate bankruptcy portals and crypto brands.

  1. Sign in to the official portal using your own device.
  2. Locate the claim or determination status associated with you.
  3. Record the status and Allowed CLC Amount exactly as displayed; do not round it to a remembered trading loss.
  4. Download or retain the official determination documents available to you.
  5. If the amount or status is disputed, follow the instructions and deadlines in the official notice and consider legal advice.

A spreadsheet, exchange statement, wallet balance, tax-loss figure, or personal estimate is not automatically the same as an Allowed CLC Amount.

Submitted, determined, disputed, and allowed

Claim status language matters. A person may have submitted a claim without yet holding an allowed claim in the amount requested. A determination can accept, reduce, or otherwise address a submitted amount under the procedures. Objection or dispute rights can be time-limited.

TermPlain-language meaningPractical consequence
Submitted amountThe amount a claimant requested through the process. It may still require review and supporting evidence.
Initial determinationA decision issued under the CLC procedures.Review the amount, reasoning, response route, and deadlines.
Allowed CLC AmountThe amount recognized for bankruptcy claim purposes. It can serve as the reference amount for a recovery or transfer offer.
DistributionCash or property eventually paid under the plan.It may be only a percentage of the allowed amount and may occur later.

Why the Allowed CLC Amount is not the payout

Bankruptcy recoveries depend on available assets, claim priority, allowed claims, reserves, expenses, and the plan. If a claim is allowed for $100,000, that does not by itself mean a $100,000 distribution will occur.

A transfer offer is also a separate number. Buyers price time, risk, legal process, funding costs, and possible recovery. Compare an offer as a percentage of the allowed amount, but also read whether the agreement transfers all rights or preserves any contingent payment.

What a claim buyer may need to verify

A buyer or transfer marketplace may reasonably ask to verify identity, claim ownership, allowed status, amount, and the absence of a conflicting transfer. Verification can involve documents, a live screen share, or a specialist call. The exact process and permitted documents should be explained before you provide them.

  • Government-issued identity documentation for KYC.
  • Official claim or determination evidence.
  • Information needed to prepare a transfer agreement.
  • Verified payment details for USDC or bank wire.

Claimholder security checklist

  • Never provide a wallet seed phrase, private key, or one-time security code.
  • Never send your official claims-portal password to another person.
  • Confirm the legal name of the transferee in the written agreement.
  • For USDC, confirm the exact network and test the destination if appropriate.
  • For bank wire, independently verify instructions before closing.
  • Keep signed agreements, notices, transaction hashes, and payment records.
